The Fire Museum of Memphis has launched a fundraising campaign that includes a new commemorative brick program. The Fire Museum has begun selling engraved bricks that will be placed in the courtyard of the museum. The bricks can recognize an active or former firefighter, or they can be purchased as a memorial or honorarium. Bricks can also be purchased as a show of support for the Fire Museum or the Memphis Fire Department. For information about purchasing a brick, please go to (Note: there is no www before this web address.)  If you would like to contribute to the fundraising campaign or order a brick over the phone, please call 901-636-5650.

  • The Fire Museum hosted its 1st annual Safety Fest to cap off an eventful Fire Prevention Week 2015. Safety Fest was not just about Fire Safety, but Life Safety as well. Members of the Memphis Police and Shelby County Sheriff's Office were on hand with McGruff the Crime Dog to teach our visitors to help take a bite out of crime. And, Memphis Fire Dog, Izzy, got in on the action by chaperoning the whole event. The Fire Museum also awarded our coveted "Turn Out" Trophy to Berclair Elementary School. Congratulations to the Bears for having the having the most students during the 2014-2015 school year learn Fire and Life Safety through field trips to the Musem. Berclair Elementary Teachers, Lashunda Gatewood and Dr. Crystal Cook could not wait to present the trophy to the Bears. Berclair will keep the award until Fire Prevention Week, 2016!
